Palm Sunday (24th March)

Masses at 6.30pm (vigil) and 8am, 10am, 11.15am and 6pm.

Palm crosses will be distributed at all Masses. Bishop Patrick will celebrate the 11.15am Mass, where there will be blessing of the palms and a procession. The choir will sing at this Mass.

Chrism Mass (27th March)

Mass at 11.30am

The Chrism Mass reminds us of our oneness in Christ through Baptism and its holy anointing, made possible by the ministry of the bishop and his priests. Priests, Deacons, Religious and Laity from every part of diocesan life, gather with the Bishop for this Mass and the new oils of Chrism, Catechumens and of the Sick are consecrated.

Maundy Thursday (28th March)

Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7pm, with the washing of feet.

Followed by ‘watching’ at the Altar of Repose (in the Lady Chapel) until 10pm, when the evening will conclude with Compline (Night Prayer of the Church)

Good Friday (29th March)

9.30am Tenebrae

10.30am Children’s Stations of the Cross, with music provided by our Girls’ and Boys’ Choirs 

3pm Celebration of the Passion of the Lord

7pm Stations of the Cross, with music provided  by the Cathedral Choir

Confessions 10.30am-12noon and 6pm-6.45pm

 

Holy Saturday (30th March)

9.30am Tenebrae

8pm The Easter Vigil, celebrated by Bishop Patrick, with the Cathedral Choir singing.

Confessions 10.30am-12noon

 

Easter Sunday (31st March)

Masses at 8am, 10am (celebrated by Bishop Patrick), 11.15am (with choir) and 6pm.
