The Cathedral is available for the funerals of Catholics and these are normally celebrated at 10am on weekdays.

At the death of a Christian, whose life of faith began at Baptism and has been strengthened through the Eucharist, the Church prays on behalf of the deceased person, because it is confident that death is not the end, nor does it break the bonds forged in life. The Church also supports those who mourn and consoles them in the funeral rites with the comforting Word of God and the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

The Cathedral is available for the funerals of Catholics and these are normally celebrated at 10am on weekdays. In the first instance, you should approach a local Funeral Director who will then contact the Cathedral to discuss possible dates, times and needs. If you would like to speak to a priest at this difficult time, please contact the parish office.
