Our Girls’ and Boys’ Choir are FREE, non-auditioned choirs which provide music at some of the Cathedral services.
These choirs are a fantastic opportunity for any young boys and girls in Nottingham with a passion for singing and music to get involved with. The choristers receive musical training and regular music opportunities alongside the Cathedral Choir, which we hope will set them up for a life of musical opportunity and enjoyment!
Cathedral Boys Choir
7 - 13 years
Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 4.30-5.45pm (Cathedral Hall)
Cathedral Girls' Choir
7 - 13 years
Rehearsals: Wednesdays 4.30-5.45pm (Cathedral Hall)
Cathedral Youth Choir
13 - 18 years
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6-7:15pm (Cathedral Hall)
Sing it Out! Children's Choir
4 - 7 years
Rehearsals: Sunday mornings, 9:20-9:50am (Cathedral Hall)
Mansfield Children's Choir
7 - 13 years
Rehearsals: Wednesdays 4:30-5:45pm at St Philip Neri Church (Mansfield)
These choirs take it in turns to sing at the Sunday 6pm Mass which includes a rehearsal from 5pm in the Cathedral. Whilst it is not necessary to be a Catholic to join these choirs, attendance at Mass is required and continued absence will lead to removal from the choir.
* There are no subscription fees for any of the groups above but we do ask parents and carers to consider making a donation or setting up a standing order to help support the work of the Music Department and cover the costs in running our Youth Singing Programme.
